"Temple of Castor and Pollux" - 1999

Not only mythological icons. Pignatelli also reproduces old scenarios.

He produces details of archaic architecture in series, as in the case of this artwork, where we can find the structure of the temple in ruins, surrounded by a landscape of rust and fog.

In this way, Pignatelli, that comes from a family of master painters, expresses the need for mankind to search in the ancient times and to propose it once again in its present form.
