The "Leg School"
The term “Leg School” refers to the treatment of vascular diseases in the lower limbs.
The methodology it adopts, patented and employed by Professor Francesco Canonaco is based on a course of complementary treatments characterized by applications of water and mud riched in active principles and vasoactive substances which help to improve the lymphatic system., the vein circulation and the elasticity of the skin.
Women very often suffer from venous and lymphatic return, although even men experience this kind of problem.
Mainly, this problem arises in people who spend most of the day standing on their feet, and is aggravated by bad eating and posture habits. At times, it can be caused by regular abuse of medications, sudden weight gain or loss, a wrong course of physiotherapy or simply bad posture habits.
As this condition is accompanied by localized adiposity, liposclerosis and cellulite, especially in women, it is obvious that stimulating and improving the blood circulation of the veins in the legs will prove highly beneficial.
The “Leg School” treatments make the legs look healthy once again through the use of truly unique formulas to combat sluggish blood circulation and in the process favour lymphatic draining and reduce swelling.
Treatments:
- Medicated mud - Clay enriched with active substances which are invigorating, soothing, decongestive and have the natural freshness of seaweed.
- Medicated bandages – Highly effective in combating water retention; these invigorate the venous walls trough the use of vaso-active substances.
- Kneipp vascular treatment – Treatment in shallow tanks of medicated water at different temperatures (18° - 38°) enriched with vegetable and mineral extracts. Brings back vitality and lightness while improving both venous and lymphatic tone.
